Library Committee Leads World Book Day Celebrations

Fictional characters could be spotted walking the corridors of KSA on World Book Day thanks to the efforts of our sixth form library committee.

The group, which included Naomi Entiriwaa, Autumn Barnes and Nathan Stevenson, joined forces with librarian Juliet Walsh to organise a colourful celebration of reading.

They dressed up as characters from The Wizard of Oz and handed out Diary of a Wimpy Kid bookmarks. They also held a competition, 'Guess the Teacher's Favourite Book' and ran a table top sale to raise £50 for Book Aid International.

Autumn said: "We wanted to raise awareness and promote the library by doing events like this and bring literature to life."
