GCSE Maths Students Mentored by Sixth Formers
Our latest mentoring scheme has seen year 12s offer help and advice to a group of GCSE maths students.
They have been meeting twice a week during CAPS (pictured) in preparation for the start of exams in May.
Among them is year 11 student Daniel Powell who is being mentored by older brother Ben.
He said: "It helps because it's one-to-one support and Ben has already been through the exams so we can talk about it."
Ben added: "There's a statistic about how you can learn from your friends and peers and how sometimes, you listen more to them. For me, it's the reward of helping my brother and helping others to achieve their target grades."
