Year 11s Present Gifts to Science Teachers
A trio of students clubbed together to buy gifts for their teachers as a thank-you for their support during GCSE exams.
Yasmine Kerr, Leia Pomfrett, Fabien Sutton handed over some flowers to Head of Science Jackie Cook and a bottle to science teacher Patrick Mackie.
Yasmine said: "We just wanted to say thank you for all the work they have put in and for how much they have supported us. They have been so good to us and have gone above and beyond.
"They are really good teachers and we've also had a laugh with them."
Last summer, more than 86% of GCSE students gained two or more A* to C grades in science, exceeding national results. There was also a significant rise in the number of students opting for A levels in the sciences.
