KSA Raises £1,500 for Children in Need
The Sixth Form fundraising committee pulled out all the stops to help the Academy raise £1,485 for Children in Need.
Bronwyn Ryan and Ethan Waterfield led the committee, with Bronwyn taking charge of the activities in the Primary Phase and Ethan organising events in Secondary.
Both sold wristbands and badges and held raffles and cake sales. Primary pupils also got the chance to have their photo taken with our very own life-size Pudsey, AKA Sixth Former Leuri Marte-Martes.
In Secondary, a group of boys braved a leg-waxing experience and there was also the chance to compete in a FIFA tournament.
Bronwyn said: “It went really well – in primary, all the children took part and joined in the activities. They all loved Pudsey. We had donations of cakes from parents which was great.
“I think we all learned to communicate better and something I learned for next year is that we need to order more merchandise. We really pleased with the amount raised.”
