Adventurous Year 4 and Year 5 pupils are back from a successful residential trip to an activity centre in Lincolnshire.
Primary pupils went to the PGL centre, Caythorpe Court from Wednesday, April 30th until Friday, May 2nd and on offer were a variety of activities including water based activities like  kayaking and rafting, low and high rope courses, climbing, abseiling, archery, fencing and much more.
Mrs Jo Fallowell, Mr Chris Woolhouse, Mrs Jo Underwood, Miss Hannah Tibbs and Mrs Madeline Fernandes took a group of 35 pupils made up of Year 4 and Year 5 children to the activity centre, and they all had a great few days away.

Mr Woolhouse said: “I truly believe that a residential experience is a fantastic opportunity for a child; they get to try so many new challenges, they are exposed to new experiences and, without knowing it, will make new friends, work as part of a team and develop life skills.”
He  added: “For many of the children this was their first experience of being away from their parents so there was a mix of emotions as we set off but after a short coach trip we arrived and had very little time for nerves or homesickness to set in as for the next two days we were fully immersed in the activities on offer at the site.
“Every child tried zip wiring, abseiling, kayaking, archery, an obstacle course and a very high trapeze challenge! Each activity offered its own challenge, be it scaling heights or learning a new skill but the children amazed us with their ability to cope in difficult situations, to overcome their fears and to raise to the challenge of trying something new – abilities which will set them in good stead for the rest of their lives!  A fantastic time was had by all!”
He went on to the say a big thank you to all the children who went on the residential from all of the staff members who were on the trip with them, he said: “They were impeccably behaved and represented the school brilliantly.”
