The Father’s Day Sale last week at KSA was a success for the Year 10 Prince’s Trust students.
From Wednesday until Friday last week the Year 10 students hosted a Father’s Day gifts stall and raffle in the Academy’s reception for staff and students.
A varied selection of gifts were on offer including chocolate bars wrapped up in paper shirts and ties, and books of promise vouchers.
The gifts and raffle tickets sold well and a total of £50 was raised for two charities, Help for Heroes and a children’s charity.
Head of Da Vinci House, Mrs Hazel Dodd said: “The total raised of £50 is not as much as raised by the Mother’s Day sale but it is still a good amount. “
Mrs Dodd added: “The winner of first prize in the raffle was Miss Anna Keen, maths teacher. She won the towel motorbike gift set and the second prize of a large chocolate bar wrapped up to look like it was wearing a shirt and tie, was won by Mrs Adetundo Akaji, science teacher.”
She added: “The students have worked really well together during year on the Prince’s Trust scheme and have come up with some great enterprising ideas.”
