Maths Challenge Students are Rewarded
Great results have been received by KSA students who took part in a recent maths challenge.
Great results have been received by KSA students who took part in a recent maths challenge.
A total of 99 students from Years 7 and 8 took part in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge earlier this term.
All students completed the one hour maths challenge and those with the highest marks have now been awarded with certificates. Two students received gold awards, 10 silver awards and 17 bronze awards.
Head of Maths at KSA, Mrs Lorraine Taylor said: “The maths challenge results for this year are excellent. Congratulations to all the students who received certificates but also congratulations to everyone who took part and tried the challenge.”
The challenge involved students from across the country answering 25 multiple choice maths questions in one hour, and the test was taken under normal exam conditions.
Gold awards went to: Bernard Dec and Luke O’Hara
Silver awards went to: Emily Osborne, Lydia Shepherd, Aston Buckby, Chloe Whysall, Ishan Tailor, Loren Cooper, Owen Wilson, Hannah Godson, Karina Deptula and Illaria Knibb.
Bronze awards went to: Callum Stratford, Cameron Williams, Thomas Larmour, Pranav Sudheesh, Nathaniel Farr, Joshua Knight, Luke Hansen, Leon Caudell, Amarjot Hayer, Joshua Lane, Jack Saunders, Dominic Thompson Welsh, Mateusz Kluczniok, Oscar Goodchild, Kyle Campbell, Jack Giles and Benjamin Cox.
