Open auditions are being held to find the cast for a performance of Macbeth at KSA next February.
Head of Drama at the Academy, Miss Julia Mallard is looking to recruit a cast of 15 to 20 students to perform the Shakespearian play in the spring term.
Students from Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 are all being invited to attend the auditions after school on Tuesday, 21st October in the drama studio and are being asked to prepare a speaking piece, of a maximum of two minutes long, either from Macbeth or any other play.
Successful students will then be asked to attend weekly rehearsals on Tuesdays after school, following the Half Term week.
Miss Mallard said: “Anyone needing any help with the preparation of their audition piece are welcome to come and see me ahead of the auditions.
“I have had a few students already asked me if they can help out with the staging of the production including helping with the sound, lighting and scenery design. These other roles, as well as volunteers for front of house, we will be recruiting for after Christmas.”
