Kettering Science Academy is now able to accept online payments for students' meals.
The electronic payment system was introduced at the end of last term and allows for parents to pay money for their child's meals online as well as monitor the amount of money they have available to spend on food from the Academy’s restaurant.
Letters have been sent home to explain more about WisePay and its benefits.
Parents and carers have been provided with their own personal login details to enable them to pay for their child's meals electronically using the online system via a credit or debit card.
The benefits of the system include the convenience of parents paying for their child’s meals at home, as well as the visibility of being able to view the balance on their child’s ID card and also to see what type of meals have been purchased.
In the future it is hoped the system will be used to accept money for the academy’s trips .
