More than 900 visitors attended the Academy’s Open Evening on Tuesday, 13th October and the families took a great interest in the school as a whole.
The school opened its doors to prospective students and their families for two hours on the evening and provided them with the opportunity to see what KSA has to offer future students.
All the departments were opened to be viewed and an array of students’ work and activities were being showcased for the all visitors to see.
Current students were also on hand throughout the evening to talk to parents and their children about student life at the school and demonstrated some of projects being worked on in lessons.
Other students volunteered to take groups of families on guided tours of the Academy.
The Principal, Mr Paul Davies addressed the visitors, on three separate occasions, during the evening and he spoke of the transformation that the Academy is undergoing.
He said about how high praise had been received from Ofsted and most recently from the Chief Ofsted Inspector, Sir David Wilshaw who reinforced the facts the school is making the right moves towards a ‘good’ rating in 2016.
Following the Open Evening event, Mr Davies said: “It was an absolute delight to see our students and staff showing what KSA is all about. The enthusiasm from all involved shone through and it was nice to see how much fun they were having in the process. I’m really grateful that so many people came to see the transformation that is going on in the school.”
