Our Year 8 boys played well in the first boys’ hockey match to take place at the Academy.
The match against the visiting team from Bishop Stopford School,on Wednesday 20th January, allowed for our Year 8 boys to showcase their hockey skills and they have now been invited to join the town’s hockey club.
The match was a well contended match that was won in the end by the visiting boys’ team.
Harry Thomas put The Academy side in the lead during the first half of the game by scoring the first goal and Jace Tordimah scored KSA’s second goal to bring the game to a 2-2 draw at half time.
However, in the second half the team from Bishop Stopford scored another two goals making the end result 4-2 to the visitors.
PE teacher at KSA, Miss Jessica Davis said: “The boys have worked really hard in the run up to the match and it was nice to give them the opportunity to display their talent. The game went really well. I am very proud of them.I am very impressed by our students’ performance and for them to be asked to attend training for Kettering Hockey Club really shows how hard they have worked. I am looking forward to the future games.”
