Sign Up For Show Auditions

Calling all singers, dancers, comedians and performers – sign up now if you want to audition for the Charity Showcase 2010 in a week’s time.

The event is being organised by a group of Unit 2 Performing Arts students as part of their course and will be held at the Masque Theatre in Barton Seagrave on November 25th.

They are holding auditions for the show on Wednesday, September 29th from 3.30pm to 5pm in the main hall and anyone who is interested in trying out can sign the form on Student Reception.

The team behind the show is made up of Year 12 students Nathan Stevenson, Katie Robinson, Lauren Watson, Nikki Hammond and Ryan Davidson.

Profits from the show will go the charity SUDEP - Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy - because one of Nikki and Lauren's friends died as a result of the condition.

The group has been holding assemblies about the auditions to spread the word.

Nathan said: "It's a variety show which is open to any performer of any age and we're hoping to get between 15 and 20 acts going through to the show.

"We know specific people to ask but we wanted to let everyone know."

Katie added: "We're looking forward to seeing the finished result and knowing that this is something we have put together."
