Two exciting Book Week related competitions have been launched at the Academy this week.
Following on from last week’s KSA Book Week the competitions have been launched by library staff to encourage our students and to allow them to demonstrate what they have learnt from the school's recent visitors.
The competitions are a design a Manga storyboard competition and a short story writing competition.
The story writing contest was inspired by author, Bai Rai’s visit to the Academy last Friday and students are being asked to write a story that is inspired by their own life experiences.
Their stories need to be typed up, be no more than six pages long and need to be emailed to the KSA librarians by the competition’s closing date of Thursday 24th March.
The other competition is asking for students to design and draw a Manga story board after the visit by Manga artist Anna Fitzpatrick last Monday.
The story boards need to be submitted on an A3 piece of paper by the closing date of 20th March.
The prizes for both competitions have been provided by the Book Week visitors.
There is signed copies of books by Bali Rai, either Soccer Squad or Trouble up for grabs for the winners of story writing competition and a host of Manga goodies are on offer as prizes for the Manga competition.
