Year 6
Year 6 pupils have been learning about World War 2. They have enjoyed experiencing an air raid and evacuation and have been getting an idea of what rationing was like by weighing out foods that were rationed during the war (testing their knowledge of the imperial and metric weighing systems). As part of their homework pupils created Anderson shelters using household items – their creations were imaginative and well designed, with the inclusion of ‘real life’ objects as well as one with sound bites.
