Sixth Form Dress Code

General Notes:

You should be wearing smart, business-style clothing – think work environment, not social wear. You can still show your own style, but the following are not allowed:

❌ Denim or leather clothing
❌ Clothes with rips or tears
❌ Hoodies or clothing with large logos
❌ Trainers that aren’t completely black (including Converse-style trainers)
❌ Skirts that are significantly above knee length
❌ Leggings
❌Combat trousers

What is allowed in warmer weather:

✔ Tailored knee length shorts with no logo
✔ Collared polo shirts with no logo

If you’re unsure whether something is acceptable, please speak to Miss Davies or a member of the Sixth Form Team.

Hair and make-up should be suitable for a professional environment NOT a social one

  • Failure to adhere to the dress code could jeopardise your place in 6th form

Lanyards and ID Badges

  • Lanyards, these are part of the uniform and are expected to be on show at all times, students will be provided with a Sixth Form Lanyard when they join, if these are lost a new one will need to be purchased via WisePay or the school office at a cost.

Sixth form mobile phone policy

Sixth Formers are allowed to use phones in the Sixth Form central area to assist their studies, not in main school, main school restaurant, corridors or places where other students can see them.

Our Sixth Form Study Centre is also a mobile free zone to allow a calm space for students to reduce stress and improve focus.

Students will be expected to sign to say they have been instructed on the expectations.
